Sparring Partners: Sauna Champion

I held on. I held on through thirty minutes, I held on through the dizziness and the way the cedar slats swam, I held on with my fingernails dug into my palms.

At thirty-two, Kat cracked.

“Fine,” she said, and slid off the bench onto the wooden floor, red-faced and gasping. “You win. Congratulations. You are the most stubborn woman I’ve ever met.”

“Say it.”

“You’re better at something.”

“Properly.”

She sat on the boards on her knees, naked, glistening, her ponytail stuck to her neck, and looked up at me. I’d never seen her on her knees. I liked it more than was healthy.

“You’re better at everything that matters,” she said, quietly. “And I’d like to prove it by making you come.”

My breath left me in a rush. I spread my thighs on the bench. Kat crawled between them, put her palms on my knees and licked me, slow and wet and deep, from my entrance right up to my clit.

I made a noise I’d never made at work.

She took her time. She sucked, she flicked, she slid two fingers into me, curling, and the heat turned my skin to liquid. I grabbed her hair and pulled her mouth hard against me and came, shaking, the bench slick under my arse, her name coming out like a prayer.

She sat back, wiping her chin, and grinned.

At breakfast the next morning Kat bought me a full English with extra bacon, handed me the ketchup and said, loud enough for the whole table, “Dani’s better than me at something.”

Gareth choked on a sausage.
