“That’s enough,” I said. My voice came out rougher than I meant. “For tonight.”
Fiona nodded at once. No argument, no disappointment, just a quick squeeze of Ross’s shoulder as she stood up. “Okay. Okay, love.”
Ross looked half relieved and half like he’d been told Christmas was cancelled. He adjusted his jeans, cleared his throat, and stood.
“That was,” he said. “Yeah. Thanks. I mean. Not thanks. You know what I mean.”
“We know what you mean,” Fiona said kindly, and walked him to the door in her lace, which can’t have helped.
The second the front door closed, she turned round and looked at me.
“Bedroom,” she said. “Now.”
We didn’t make the bedroom. She dragged me down onto the stairs, yanked my jeans open and climbed on top of me, and I pushed her knickers aside and she sank onto my cock with a cry. She was soaking. Dripping.
“That was from kissing him,” she gasped, riding me hard. “Just from kissing him while you watched.”
“I know.”
“Were you jealous?”
“Yes.”
“Good.” She ground down harder. “You’re the one I come home to. You’re the one inside me.”
She came on the stairs, shaking. I came seconds later, holding her hips down on me.
Afterwards we lay there tangled on the steps, laughing.
It was hot. It really was. But we both knew it was only the first chapter, and I’d closed the book.
