How Much Does an Escort Cost in the UK?

Infographic comparing average advertised 30-minute and 1-hour escort rates across UK towns and London boroughs, October 2026.

Ever wondered whether the price of an hour’s company changes depending on where you are in the country? It does — sometimes a lot. We looked at 1,785 advertised escort profiles across 149 UK towns and cities outside London and 33 London areas to find out where the going rate is highest, where it is lowest, and how much extra the capital really costs.

Key Takeaways

  • The average advertised 1-hour rate outside London is £155 (median £150); the average 30-minute rate is £95 (median £87.50).
  • In London the averages rise to £162 an hour and £109 for 30 minutes — but the median hourly rate is the same £150.
  • Bournemouth tops the UK table at an average £282 an hour; Coventry, Derby and Shrewsbury share the bottom spot at £118.
  • In London, Richmond upon Thames is the priciest area at £316 an hour, while Sutton and Harrow are the cheapest at £112.
  • A single eye-catching price can move a town’s average a long way, so treat the rankings as a guide, not gospel.

The south coast makes a strong showing, with Bournemouth, Winchester, Salisbury and Brighton all in the top ten. But look closely at the top two: both Bournemouth and Norwich include one profile advertising £600 an hour, which does much of the heavy lifting. Bridgend’s figure rests on just three hourly prices.

The 10 Cheapest Places in the UK (Outside London)

The Midlands dominates the budget end, with Coventry, Derby, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Worcester all in the bottom group. The gap between the cheapest and dearest towns is £164 an hour.

London by Borough

London is not one market but many. The five most and least expensive areas by average 1-hour rate:

Most expensive

Area Avg 1 hour Avg 30 mins
Richmond upon Thames £316 £195
Greenwich £212 £122
Haringey £208 £116
City of London £206 £280
Westminster / Ealing £190 £140 / £132

Cheapest

Area Avg 1 hour Avg 30 mins
Sutton £112 £71
Harrow £112 £78
Redbridge £116 £72
Havering £118 £72
Merton £128 £76

Leafy Richmond leads by a distance, but its average is driven by two profiles asking £500 and £550 an hour. Strip those out and it would sit comfortably mid-table. The outer boroughs — Sutton, Harrow, Redbridge, Havering — are the capital’s best value, and cheaper than any town outside London.

National Averages and the London Premium

Mean 30 mins Median 30 mins Mean 1 hour Median 1 hour
UK outside London £95 £87.50 £155 £150
London £109 £90 £162 £150
London premium +15% +3% +4% 0%

The London premium is smaller than you might expect.

On average, an hour in the capital is advertised at about £7 more than elsewhere — roughly 4% — and the typical (median) hourly price is identical at £150. The gap is wider for 30-minute bookings, at about 15% on the mean, partly because a handful of London profiles price short bookings unusually high.

Anomalies and Caveats

  • Single £600 rates. One £600 hourly price appears in each of Bournemouth, Norwich and Greenwich, lifting all three averages sharply.
  • Richmond’s outliers. Two hourly rates of £500 and £550 put Richmond upon Thames top of the London table. (Barnet also has a single £500 hourly rate.)
  • Half-hour dearer than an hour. Some profiles list a higher 30-minute price than their 1-hour price — in the City of London, Hammersmith and Fulham, Islington, Barnet, Brent and Hounslow, as well as Woking, Stafford and Lancaster. This is why the City of London’s 30-minute average (£280) exceeds its hourly one.
  • Bargain-basement listings. One profile in Wolverhampton advertises £30/£60, and one in Stevenage £30/£50 — far below anything else in the data.
  • Small samples. East Kilbride, Dumfries and Lisburn each had only two profiles, Bangor (Northern Ireland) just one, and Newry none at all, so they are excluded from the rankings. Durham, Scunthorpe and Bridgend had three hourly prices each — enough to qualify, but treat them with caution.

The Last Word

Where you are matters: the same hour can be advertised at under £120 in the Midlands or nearly £300 on the south coast — and a single premium listing can rewrite a town’s reputation.
